Gambel’s Quail Chapter: the beginning of a story. An excerpt.
“ There is a Sycamore Canyon near Williams Arizona, but I
have no link to that canyon or the town. The sycamore canyon I hunt
is not its real name. The canyon is named after a family who homesteaded
before the turn of the century. It has a bit of history; Mexican
banditos, outlaws and cattle rustlers. If sycamores could talk,
I’m sure their ancestors would have a few hanging stories
to tell. It was wild then and it still is today.”
